All of the through hole vibration motors listed here are supplied with mounting brackets designed for though-hole PCB mount.   Depending on the motor model, the motor will have only through hole pins or a combination of  through-hole pins & wire leads to power the motor.  Generally speaking, the through hole pins are available in two lengths (1.6mm or 3.2mm) to accommodate standard or thick multi-layer printed circuit boards. Vibration motors with wire leads can be supplied  with any one of our standard connectors on the leads (see figure below), or we can install a connector of your choosing at the factory.  We can also fabricate custom brackets to your specifications.

Soldering Guidelines:    We recommend that a “selective soldering” system or hand soldering be used to mount these to the PCB.   Wave soldering can be employed so long as flux or any other liquids do not come in contact with the motor body.  Recommended soldering temperature is 175 to 200 C  (350 to 400 F) , with the minimum time required to properly flow the solder though the eyelet and form a normal solder fillet.    These motors can be damaged if they are “Reflow soldered”  and we recommend against using this process.  These motors can be damaged by liquids, so PCB’s with these motors mounted can not be washed, sprayed with flux or any other chemicals.

The “typical current” is the average current from 20 motors selected at random from a given production lot. Copies of the test report showing the data collected for all 20 motors are available upon request.
